            However, Labor Day hasn’t always been about BBQs and celebrations.  We are able to observe the hard work, contributions, and achievements of the American worker because a generation of workers stood up and demanded better. In the height of the Industrial Revolution, men, women, and children worked long grueling hours in unsafe environments simply to barely survive, and enough became enough. There were marches, riots, strikes, and rallies compelling employers to stop and listen to their demands.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
